Dr. Deniz Akyurekli
Fascial Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery

Dr Akyurekli is a fellow of the royal college of surgeons of Canada since 1998, with specialty training in Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery and further specialization in Facial Plastic Surgery. Over the past 23 years Dr Akyurekli’s scope of practice has changed to meet community needs. His current areas of practice include Medical, Surgical and Laser treatment of skin cancer of the body and face, Liposuction, Aesthetic surgery of the body and face, Medical and Laser aesthetic treatments and scar management.
Dr. John Toshihiko Seki
B.Sc., M.D., F.R.C.S.C., F.A.C.S.
Originally from Toronto, Dr. Seki, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Canada and in the U.S is now settled in Orillia, Ontario, where he enjoys cottage country in the summer and skiing in the winter. A dedicated father of two, Dr. Seki is known as a serious and down-to-earth physician focussed on both the creative and aesthetic aspects of his work. Charismatic, charming, and outgoing, he is passionate about providing the best possible care, while maintaining a relationship with his patients and colleagues.
Believing that communication and patient education are key aspects of any procedure, regardless of its complexity, Dr. Seki provides a personal touch by connecting with his patients and taking the time to know and understand their needs and expected outcomes. His approach is to ensure that patients are well informed, thoroughly understand the procedure, and are able to make an informed decision that best suits their needs. This personal touch continues in the recovery phase where he maintains contact with his patients responding to any questions or concerns they might have. As a former Chief of Surgery at the Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, he received a Physician Leadership Award for his leadership, compassion, and willingness to provide knowledge and assistance where needed.
Dr. Seki graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto in 1989. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine in 1993, Dr. Seki completed two years of residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa before entering a residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Brown University in Rhode Island, U.S.A.
Currently an attending surgeon in Orillia, he has known Dr. Akyurekli as classmates in medical school and is proud to be part of The Best You team. When not working, he spends time with his family, one son in University and one completing high school. He occasionally plays the cello and loves to travel on family vacations. His wife, Neda Rowhani-Seki is a family physician.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since 2002, he performs multiple surgeries a year and remains current with evolving techniques and technologies in order to offer his patients the most effective and proven services. Dr. Seki is interested in community outreach and is a Peer Reviewer for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He is involved in the Plastic Surgery Service Project Steering Committee and maintains membership with both the Canadian and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.


Dr. Julie Lockman
Dr. Lockman, a fully bilingual Ottawa native, is a family physician who has been injecting neuromodulators since 2006. After 26 years in family practice, she is now focusing on aesthetics and cosmetic medicine and is thrilled to join The Best You™ team as a full-time injector. In her spare time, she enjoys acting in community theatre, attending music festivals, and looking after her fur family of four!
Dr. Marc-Antoine Lachance
Originally from Quebec City, Dr. Lachance graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, completed his Doctorate in Medicine and his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2019.
His passion for aesthetics has been growing since 2017 when he first started injecting neuromodulators. He practices family medicine in Embrun, provides obstetrical care a the Montfort hospital, and is very involved in the Ottawa community. Dr. Lachance is excited to be joining the Best you Family at the Ottawa west location as a physician injector and beauty advocate. He will help you work towards your aesthetic goals with respect and professionalism.


Dr. John Gencarelli
MD, FRCSC
Originally from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Dr. Gencarelli obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa, and completed residency training in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Following this, he pursued a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery at the University of Toronto, where he worked alongside some of North America’s leading plastic surgeons. Currently, Dr. Gencarelli also holds a full-time staff position at Mackenzie Health in Vaughan and Richmond Hill (Mackenzie Richmond Hill and Vaughan Cortellucci Hospitals), where his private office is located.
When it comes to his professional practice, Dr Gencarelli demonstrates a passion for excellence. His approach to surgery is thoughtful, safe, and meticulous. He prides himself on being compassionate and ensuring that his patients are well-informed, confident in their decision-making, and comfortable throughout the recovery process. Whether it’s cosmetic or reconstructive surgery, Dr Gencarelli is fully committed to achieving the best possible outcome for his patients.
Dr. Jessica Gencarelli
Certified by the College of Family Physicians of Ontario, Dr. Jessica Gencarelli is a primary care physician with special interest in skin cancer screening and prevention. Dr. Gencarelli earned her medical degree at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and completed her family medicine residency at McMaster University. She is an active member of the hospitalist program at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, and practices family medicine in Stayner.


Dr. Angela Cavanagh
Dr. Angela Cavanagh is the Medical Director of The Best You in Kincardine. A holistic approach to patient’s health is essential to providing the best possible care. Dr. Cavanagh believes in using her skills as physician in medical aesthetics to help patients look and feel their best. Dr. Angela Cavanagh is the Lead Physician at the Kincardine Medical Centre where she runs her family medicine practice as well as the communities’ cognitive-assessment clinic.
She also works in the emergency department and on the inpatient floor at SBGHC Kincardine Hospital. She completed her Bachelor and Master of Science at the University of Guelph, her medical degree at Western University, and her family medicine residency at Queen’s University. Certified through the College of Family Physicians of Ontario, she is also a member of the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada, OMA, CMA and CPSO.
Dr. Ronnie Borsuk
Plastic Surgeon, MD, FRCS
Dr. Ronnie Borsuk’s, training in Plastic Surgery was completed at the McGill University Health Centre and followed with specialized training in cosmetic surgery at The Westmount Institute of Plastic Surgery in Montreal. He now utilizes his artistic and unique talents in drawing and arts to give his patients the pleasing natural outcomes they are looking for.
Dr. Ronnie Borsuk is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada as well as a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Ronnie Borsuk holds a position as Lecturer at the Ottawa Faculty of Medicine where his students enjoy his teachings on evolving techniques and technologies.
His special interests include cosmetic procedures and surgery specifically breast surgery, skin cancer surgery, body contouring, and hand surgery. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and reading.
